On campus event at Newcastle-under-Lyme College
Newcastle College, part of Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group, is set to hold its on-campus Open Event on Thursday 7 October 2021, between 5.30pm and 8pm.
The Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ college will be opening its doors to prospective students and their families in order to give them a taste of what it’s like to study at one of the country’s top performing colleges.
Visitors to the event will be able to explore the top-class facilities on offer, chat with teaching staff about course options, hear from NSCG’s Principal, get an overview of the outstanding student support available, and apply for a course. Visitors will also have the chance to speak to current students, to find out what life is really like at Newcastle College.
Learners will have the opportunity to take a tour of the key learning and social spaces, to get a real feel for the campus.
Karen Dobson, Principal and Chief Executive at NSCG, said: “Our Open Events are designed to give young people a full overview of NSCG, where they’ll be able to get course advice on every type of post-16 education pathway available.”
Karen continues: “At NSCG, we have a long-established reputation for delivering excellent education and training and are one of the top colleges in the country, rated Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted. We are really excited to be showcasing our courses and showing visitors life at NSCG and what makes us such a special place.”
NSCG is the first further education provider in England to achieve the top grades in every area of Ofsted’s reformed Education Inspection Framework (EIF). Ofsted’s inspection report, published in November 2019, praises all areas of the College’s provision and acknowledges NSCG’s ‘positive, stimulating and safe learning environment’, ‘highly motivated staff’, and ‘learners’ exemplary behaviour and attitudes to learning’.
At NSCG’s Newcastle College campus, learners can study every-type of post-16 qualification possible, including A Levels, vocational qualifications and apprenticeships, which can all be studied in a wide-range of subjects, all designed to prepare you for life in the workplace or university.
To attend the Open Event, visitors must pre-register online at nscg.ac.uk/ncevents ahead of the event taking place on Thursday 7 October, 5.30pm until 8pm.
