Westport Lake – A Wildlife Wonder

Then look no further than Westport Lake in Longport, Stoke-on-Trent.
The lake, which has a level path spanning approximately one mile around, is ideal for walking the dog, leisurely strolls or jogging with friends.
For nature lovers Westport Lake is the perfect haven as hundreds of birds and ducks flock here throughout the year including visitors from Iceland and Northern Europe.
Situated adjacent to the children’s play area is Westport Lake Visitor Centre, one of the offices of Staffordshire Wildlife Trust – the county’s leading nature conservation charity.
This centre boasts a welcoming cafe which in itself is a perfect spot to relax taking in panoramic views of the water whilst sitting inside or on the lakeside balcony outside.
The cafe offers hot and cold drinks and snacks and is open from 10am-4pm daily.
Families are encouraged to visit the centre which also offers a range of activities during school holidays.
