Port Vale Foundation suspend some sessions
STATEMENT FROM PORT VALE FOUNDATION – Re: Covid-19
Due to the latest developments and advice from the EFL and the EFL Trust as of 5pm on 18th March 2020 the Port Vale Foundation Trust will be suspending all our out of school sessions indefinitely.
First and foremost we have to protect our customers, staff and community we serve. To continue with our community sessions would contradict advice given by the government regarding social distancing and would put many of our vulnerable participants at risk.
We understand that this decision will be particularly disappointing to those of you who rely on our sessions in a social and wellbeing capacity, which is why the Port Vale Foundation Trust will be keeping in regular contact with those participants that we have already identified and we will work with them to help them in any way we can.
The Port Vale Foundation will continue to work alongside club staff on how we can effectively be a power of good in the community during this period of uncertainty whilst also keeping everybody safe.
We are still here to serve the community and if you do need any help or just a chat you can call us 01782 757 066 during normal office hour (Monday to Friday 9-5pm) and we can be available out of hours should you need it.
We will be continuing to support local schools with our sessions for as long as schools remain open.
Anyone displaying symptoms that are consistent with the virus are advised to familiarise themselves with the NHS’s advice on self-isolation. If you do begin to develop symptoms aligned with Covid-19, call 111 and seek advice.
