Keele Cemetery to host festive memorial afternoon
A Christmas memorial afternoon is taking place at a Newcastle-under-Lyme cemetery this December.
Residents can remember their loved ones at a Christmas memorial afternoon taking place at Keele Cemetery for the first time on Wednesday, 18 December from 2pm to 4.30pm.
Families can place messages on a tree, provided by a Keele-based company, in return for a donation which will be given to a local good cause. There will be tea, coffee, mince pies and live music provided by professional singer Jennifer Douglas.
Jo Taylor, Bereavement Services Team Leader, said: “We want to help bereaved families
remember their loved ones, especially at Christmas time. It’s an important part of the
grieving process and makes them feel their family or friends have never truly gone. This is a very informal event where visitors can spend as little or as much time as they wish.”
