LEXUS STOKE DRIVING FORWARD WITH COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY
A local car dealership have further boosted their mission towards educating others about the positive impact electric vehicles can have on the environment following a unique partnership.
Lexus Stoke – who are committed to driving forward new and innovative technologies for the development of high quality all-electric vehicles – recently partnered with Keele University where experts delivered educational presentations and shared knowledge during an exclusive event.
“Tradition meets Innovation” took place in the luxurious grounds of Keele Hall where presentations from Lexus Stoke Centre Manager George Holden, along with Brand Ambassador and Senior Sales Specialist Jo Chadwick, were complimented by sustainability through technology talks from Keele University experts Julian Read and Matt Dean.
Guests were also invited on a tour of the University’s impressive Low Carbon Energy Park and given the opportunity to experience the brand new All-New All-Electric Lexus RZ 450e, in the grounds of Keele Hall.
Curtis Hague, Marketing Manager for Lexus Stoke, said: “We are very committed to driving forward sustainability and it was a natural fit to partner with Keele University to deliver not just an educational event, but an event in which guests could experience a real insight of how efficient electric vehicles are.
“Keele have amazing facilities and do amazing work focused on sustainability. To enable guests to experience this and to learn about the innovations that are coming through, as well as gaining an insight into the All-New All-Electric Lexus RZ – the first dedicated battery electric Lexus vehicle – resulted in a really good event and we are very much looking forward to continuing our relationship with Keele.”
Curtis added: “This is the first time Lexus Stoke have taken a vehicle launch event out to another venue and what better place to host than in the grounds of what is an outstanding setting with tradition and innovation shining through from every corner.”
Emma Woodcock, Head of Catering and Events at Keele University Events and Conferencing, said: “To partner with Lexus Stoke for their recent event was a fantastic opportunity allowing us all to provide an insight into a sustainable future through electric vehicles.
“It was great to see all of the guests and to share with them the amazing innovations which are happening and the work that we do here at the university in working towards a more sustainable future through technology.
“Electric vehicles and the whole process of maintaining charge for them has developed immensely over recent years with some exciting things coming. We really enjoyed working with Lexus Stoke and thank them for showing us a brand new all-electric vehicle and allowing us to be part of what was a great event.”
Attendee at the event, Mr Simpkins, who also enjoyed a tour of Keele’s energy park, said: “I have been a customer of Lexus Stoke for many years and I have seen how each new car has developed beyond imagination. I was so excited to receive my invite to the event to see the Lexus RZ in person as the move to full electric is something I am seriously considering and after hearing at the event how electric vehicles can fit into my every day life, this has given me the confidence to explore the option now.”
He added: “We were also fortunate enough to tour the energy park based on the Keele University campus behind Keele Hall and the woodland area. The vast scale of solar panels as far as the eye can see and two wind turbines towering over was an incredible experience. With more work creating sites like these, it clearly shows electric cars are the way forward.”
Guests were also invited to enjoy Japanese-inspired food and drink in the traditional Great Hall within Keele Hall on the evening – a gesture provided by Lexus Stoke who take pride in giving the best customer experience possible.
Curtis added: “We always like to share our hospitality with guests as a friendly welcome in whatever we do and we are looking forward to meeting more local communities as we continue to host events in the future.”
