A Vegan Summer Celebration on The Stones
Newcastle-under-Lyme is to welcome the return of a Vegan food festival.
The Summer Vegan Festival will take place on Sunday 3 July, and stallholders will be selling everything from fashion to food to pet products, with the festival being a celebration of plant-based living.
It’s the third time Newcastle-under-Lyme Markets has played host to the Festival which is again being organised by Stoke-on-Trent Animal Rights.
Nick Moore, Town Centre Officer for Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council, said: “We’ve really enjoyed working with organiser, Vicky, and the Stoke-on-Trent Animal Rights team to bring the Vegan Festivals to Newcastle-under-Lyme Market. The ecological awareness that they promote and their educational talks during the day have a positive impact on the many visitors to our town.
“This exciting, contemporary market event sees a large increase in high street footfall every time it’s held and adds to the diverse range of markets we offer. We now have an award-winning Castle Artisan Market, weekly General and Antique Markets, Record Fairs, Bring Your Dog Greyhound Gap Market, Charity Market and more exciting event markets planned.”
Stallholders will be offering hot and cold food, crafts, jewellery and skincare products, dog
treats and much more for the summer event that will take place on The Stones between
10am – 3pm.
Local animal sanctuaries and rescue groups will also be attending to share news about their
work.
Organiser Vicky Gerrard, from Stoke-on-Trent Animal Rights, said: “We are so excited about
our next Vegan Festival on The Stones as it will be our first anniversary. We are so pleased
with the incredible support our others have received and we cannot wait to welcome
people on Sunday 3 July, with many of our regular traders, but lots of new ones this time
too.
“You can check out traders on the Newcastle-under-Lyme Markets Facebook page and as
always the positive vibes will be all around when we welcome everyone.”
For those attending by, parking on Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council’s car parks is
free on Sundays.
