Virtual visits from Santa in the Potteries
SANTA Claus is coming to town – and can visit you and your family in the comfort of your home…
Baba Baboon was given the opportunity to speak to Santa Claus recently and he has some exciting news which we are pleased to share with you…
Children across Stoke-on-Trent need not worry about getting to see Santa Claus this Christmas to tell him what they hope to see wrapped under the Christmas tree as Festive project Santa Rides will see Father Christmas in the red and white visiting homes across the Potteries through computer and phone screens.
Talking from his home in the “virtual” snowy realms of the North Pole Santa said: “I’ve been hearing a silly rumour that Christmas is cancelled this year, well I can assure you it isn’t. The elves, who all have their masks on, have been spreading their special magic to keep things going here in the workshop.
“So that is the first thing I want to do is assure all the children and grown ups for that matter, that Christmas will still happen. The only difference will be that, as we are making sure we are adhering to social distancing properly, if they want to see me then there will be a slight change. I have some very clever elves who have been working awfully hard to set me up with a camera, computer and lights so that I can visit children in their own home through video link. Children will be able to logon and speak to me. All they and their parents need to do is email me at Santa Rides and one of my elves will book you and up to three others, per visit, in and send you a reply.”
The chance to meet Santa in this new way is open from Nov 21 -30 November although Father Christmas has said that should the lockdown continue then he and his elves will look to continue the virtual visits.
