Summer activities made in Stoke
A NEW CAMPAIGN has been launched to encourage families to spend the summer holidays visiting local attractions in Stoke-on-Trent…
Visit Stoke have launched the campaign to highlight the wide range of fun days out in, or within a few miles of, Stoke-on-Trent that provide excellent value for families this summer.
‘Made in Stoke’, showcases brilliant family experiences that are available in and around the city. Whether that’s walking with Monkey’s at Trentham Monkey Forest, seeing a real life Spitfire at the Potteries Museum & Art Gallery, creating your own piece of pottery at World of Wedgwood or posing for a selfie in front of our many historic potbanks.
Councillor Beardmore, Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Public Health, said: “We have so many wonderful attractions across the city that offer amazing days out for families. We have award winning parks, festivals such as The Big Feast and even a beach located on the Smithfield site in the City Centre. Not to mention nationally recognised attractions such as Trentham, Emma Bridgewater and Gladstone Pottery Museum. We have something for everyone so regardless of budgets, families can be assured that they can spend time together and create wonderful memories in our fabulous city this summer.”
Stoke-on-Trent City Council in partnership with the HUBB Foundation are also continuing to run Holiday Activities and Food programme. Families can book onto free activities on the HUBB Foundation website – Home | The Hubb Foundation
