TWO NOMINATIONS FOR NATHAN
A wealth management specialist with a mission to make the finance sector easier to understand by busting through industry ‘jargon’ has been nominated in a prestigious business awards celebration.
Nathan Waldron, of Stone started his own business – Waldron & Co – in 2021, and was adamant that education in his field of work was key in helping to make financial advice available to as many people as possible.
In the last two years the father-of-two has not only provided the opportunity for free drop-in sessions for residents throughout Staffordshire, but is also soon to be embarking on a new venture which will include an educational arm to the whole business in an exciting collaboration.
Nathan has now been nominated in two categories at the Staffordshire University Business Awards, which are Business Growth of the Year and Skills for the Future.
“I am thrilled to be a part of these fantastic awards being organised via Staffordshire University in Stoke-on-Trent,” says Nathan,
“There is some real tough competition in all of the categories and I wish everyone all of the very best.
“Since starting my business I have learned so much and I am so pleased that I can also now share my knowledge with more and more people who are looking to create a sustainable future for themselves and their families.”
The Staffordshire University Awards have several other categories including Entrepreneur of the Year, Small Business of the Year and Business in the Comunity. Entries are now closed and an awards evening is to take place on Thursday 14 September, in the university’s Catalyst Building.
Professor Martin Jones, Vice Chancellor of Staffordshire University, said about the business awards: “The Staffordshire University Business Awards reinforces our commitment to being a Civic University and a ‘Catalyst for Change’ not only for our own students and staff but for the communities within which we are based.”
Experienced banker and financial planner, Nathan shares an ethos which is all about helping others as much as he can.
His expertise has been commended several times – more recently as a ‘Top Rated’ adviser on VouchedFor – a UK review site for Financial Advisers and other industry professionals.
To further advance Waldron & Co’s mission to provide more financial guidance, Nathan provided drop-in session opportunities for local residents and also has educational talks in local schools lined up for the coming months.
“I think it is vital for future growth to connect with as many different organisations as possible and education is one of those,” Nathan added.
“To be able to show that financial planning is not something which should be shied away from is very important and to simplify the ways in which this can be done is something I will always endeavour to do.”
Waldron & Co are a partner of M&G Wealth Advice with products accessed from Prudential and other providers. The company is also supported by M&G plc – with heritage dating back more than 170 years.
