ONE CALL FOR IGNITE FACILITIES
A multi-skilled gas and heating engineer – who followed in his father’s footsteps – has announced expansion plans of his own company.
After gaining his Gas and Electrical Qualifications locally at Stoke-on-Trent College, Chris Brass worked in his father’s business from a young age. Following his dad, Ken Brass’, retirement, and having gained solid engineer experience, Chris made the move as a Contracts Manager working with Blue Chip clients for large firms in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.
In May 2018, and with 20 plus years working in the industry behind him, the father-of-two made the decision to launch Ignite Facilities. In the last four years Chris has not only grown his own team, but is now branching out into larger projects – including welcoming more commercial contracts and opening a new office in Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent.
The 43-year-old (pictured) said: “My father was in the gas industry most of his life and that’s where I first found my interest and passion. Dad, who led a large team himself and was a very well-respected engineer throughout his career, is still always at hand to offer advice as my own business continues to grow in the same way.
“I had always dreamed of developing my own business and Ignite is based on the same values as his – which is to always look after our customers and employees alike. It isn’t all about profits, it’s more about providing a first-class service and going that extra mile.”
Ignite Facilities currently has a team of five which includes multi-skilled engineers and Chris is aiming to further increase staffing over the next twelve months to meet demand within the business.
He adds: “Our new office and growing team of multi-skilled engineers compliments the services we provide throughout Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire. We are currently working for various commercial clients across the manufacturing, retail and leisure sectors and, as the business has developed, we have naturally been able to expand on our moto – ‘One Call One Solution’ as we focus on taking unnecessary stress away from maintenance managers and business owners alike. Whether it be their heating, plumbing, electrical or air conditioning services, we can offer one off emergency call outs or provide a bespoke planned maintenance package.”
Commercial Service Engineer Daniel Rose added: “I feel very proud to work for a company which has a multi-skilled team in-house to support with many challenges that may arise for an organisation when it comes to their plumbing, heating or other services. It’s great to be involved right from the start through to completion.”
