At the age of 10, Oliver Clarke not only had an accolade of trophies, medals and belts due to his Kickboxing prowess, but had also represented England in several tournaments.

Fast forward four years and the young sports star is continuing to dominate in a sport he loves.

In July, Oliver picked up another World Title at the Battle of Britain event, and he is now set for a K1 World Title defence in October where he will face his opponent over five, two-minute rounds.

“I cannot wait for October,” says Oliver of Bradwell, Newcastle-under-Lyme. “I have never stopped training and I am as committed as ever to what I do. I love to compete at the big events and I can’t thank my coaches enough.”

Oliver trains five days a week at various local gyms including at Warfare Academy, in Norton, Stoke-on-Trent, One Bomb Boxing, Longton and also takes part in sessions at JBS Martial Arts in Telford.

The young star also does strength and Guerrilla training on a regular basis.

Oliver’s Dad, Martin says: “Oliver thrives off what he does and he loves to compete. His last works title fight was a hammer time K1 minus 45kg at the Battle of Britain 3 event and he loved it. He has always been fully committed to his training and has some great people behind him.”

Oliver – known as the “Bradwell Brawler” in the kickboxing world – has received great support from his family and sponsors.

In 2017, sponsorship from the Womma Elite Fight Team was secured, which opened up the National competing doors to Oliver, whilst local support has been pledged by Low Cost Roofing, Absorbed Events, Fused Sports, Dr Electrical, Le Maca, A Star Trophies, Ascent Therapies, Boyce’s Bites and Flames.

Oliver adds: “My sponsors have been amazing – I really would not have been able to continue doing what I do if I hadn’t had such brilliant support and I want to thank each and every one of them for their continued support.”

Martin said: “The support Oliver has had from local businesses has been incredible over the years and I also would like to say huge thanks to each and everyone who has got behind Oliver.”

Oliver’s K1 World Title defence will be on Saturday 2 October, at Brownhills in Cannock for a Night of Champions event. Telephone Martin on 07920224695 for more information.
