Emmaus Furniture Mine
Emmaus Furniture Mine is the largest furniture and household charity shop in North Staffordshire.
As well as furniture the shop also has white goods, household items, clothing, records and much more on offer.
The large shop is based at Canon Place in Hanley and is open to the public six days a week.
The shop is owned and managed by charity Emmaus North Staffs which is registered at the same address. The charity works to help prevent homelessness and works with local authorities and other organisations operating a ‘referrals’ system. Partners refer tenants for the core essential items of furniture and white goods when setting up a new home.
Various volunteer roles are available at Emmaus Furniture Mine with training and skills development also provided with the aim of helping towards opportunities for paid employment.
