Angels sing to be together
Members of charity Helping Angels CA are starring in there own video as a way to help stay connected during the coronavirus pandemic.
Helping Angels is a North Staffordshire charity which supports disabled adults and children to become independent through activities that support them to make friends.
Due to the current climate the charity – which is based at Burslem Lodge – has had to adapt its services which means regular meetings and groups activities have all been cancelled. Instead the charity is now providing vital food parcels, hygiene packs and cleaning products as well as emotional wellbeing phone calls and virtual coffee mornings and classes.
In recent weeks members of the charity decided they wanted to help each other more and chose to create their own music video.
Natasha Gratton, charity manager, said: “During a virtual coffee morning when we were discussing how we could all help each other out, our members decided they would like to make a video.
“The video is to let everybody know we are all still here and still thinking of each and everyone of the adults we support. It was the adults who decided to make the video and our staff agreed. The video was also made to thank the staff providing care and to all other key workers working through this pandemic.”
Natasha adds: “As a charity our members can no longer fundraise in the ways they would usually. We have been left with no regular income and so they wanted to spread the word of the amazing work we do in a different way and the video is just fantastic.”
The video includes the song Four Tops – Ill be there.

**The video features members with disabilities, their families, volunteers and Helping Angels Ltd staff creating their own version of the song. The Helping Angels Ltd staff wanted to support customers that are extremely isolated to take part and so in the video are wearing full protective equipment to keep them safe.**
